ASGN Incorporated has acquired the Blackstone Technology Group’s Federal Division, a provider of agile application development, cloud modernization and systems architecture, cybersecurity, user experience design, and branding services to government clients. The transaction was valued at $85 million.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has acquired CGC Technology Limited, a provider of high precision full motion fixed and mobile X / Y satellite tracking antennas, reflectors, radomes, and other ground station equipment. The transaction was valued at $24 million.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has agreed to acquire Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., a provider of satellite networking technology, solutions, and services with market leading positions in the satellite ground station and in-flight connectivity solutions market. The transaction was valued at $533 million.

Leonardo S.p.A. has agreed to acquire Kopter Group AG, a subsidiary of Lynwood AG, a provider of SH-09 single turbine helicopters. The transaction was valued at $185 million.

Private investors have agreed to acquire the Ottawa-based electronic intelligence business of Ultra Electronics plc, a provider of nation-specific electronic intelligence and electronic support measures software and systems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. has agreed to acquire Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing, LLC, a portfolio company of Tinicum Capital Partners, a provider of innovative, highly engineered hardware and fastener solutions for demanding aerospace applications worldwide. TriMas Corporation has agreed to acquire RSA Engineered Products, a portfolio company of Merit Capital Partners and Cornerstone Capital Holdings, a provider of complex, highly engineered, and proprietary air ducting products, connectors, and related components for air management systems used in aerospace and defense applications. Zentech Manufacturing, Inc., a portfolio company of BlackBern Partners, LLC, has acquired Trilogy Circuits, LLC, a provider of high-technology electronics manufacturing services supporting prime contractors serving the defense sector and other high-reliability industries. ARCH Global Precision LLC, a portfolio company of The Jordan Company L.P., has acquired Aero Pacific Corp. and 2nd Source Wire & Cable, Inc. (collectively, “APC”), a provider of large complex structural components, with a focus on hard-metals machining, for aerospace and defense end markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Cubic Corp. has exercised its option to acquire the remaining 80% stake in PIXIA Corp., a provider of high-performance advanced data indexing, warehousing, processing and dissemination software solutions for large volumes of imagery data within traditional or cloud-based architectures. The transaction for the remaining 80% stake in PIXIA was valued at $200 million. Cubic previously announced in August 2019 that it acquired a 20% minority stake in PIXIA for $50 million.

Fletch Equity has acquired Western Jet Aviation, a provider of maintenance services for business jets, specifically with a focus on Gulfstream type aircrafts. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Guardian Capital Partners has acquired WS Acquisition, LLC, a provider of shelters and field support systems, which include rigid and inflatable framed shelters in a variety of sizes and trim levels complete with accessories that cover climate control, power generation, water handling, and more. Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Nammo AS, has agreed to acquire Chemring Ordnance, Inc., a subsidiary of Chemring Group plc, a provider of a range of ordnance and pyrotechnic products primarily for military customers. The transaction was valued at $17.0 million. KippsDeSanto acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Chemring Group plc.

nLight, Inc. has acquired Nutronics, Inc., a provider of coherently-combined laser and beam control systems for high-energy (HEL) systems servicing the defense market. The transaction was valued at $33.3 million.

SparkCognition Inc., a global artificial intelligence (“AI”) leader that builds AI technology to advance the most important interests of society, announced the closing of its Series C funding of $100 million led by March Capital Partners. Other investors include companies across multiple industries, including Boeing HorizonX, Hitachi High-Technologies, Hearst Ventures, and many others.

Satelles Inc., a Reston, Va.-based provider of satellite-based time and location services, has announced raising $26 million in Series C funding. C5 Capital led the round and was joined by Iridium Communications and existing investors.

Enlightenment Capital has made a strategic investment in Expression Networks, LLC, a provider of software engineering and data analytics supporting mission planning in the national security community. The investment was made through Enlightenment Capital’s SBIC Fund, L.P., which closed in May after securing $72.3 million in commitments.

iDirect Government, LLC, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, has acquired Glowlink Communications Technology, Inc., a provider of solutions that mitigate satellite interferences and improve the quality of satellite communications. The deal is valued at an estimated $20 million.
